Demonstration of SSP SDK at BSDG

Doug Reece and Steven Hansen will be giving a demonstration of the SSP SDK and discussing its technologies at the next Boise Software Developer Group (BSDG), November 6, 2008.
They will be discussing the development of the SSP SDK which involved using a number of interesting technologies. These include the development of the Visual Studio wizard plug-in, code involving XML/XSLT, building an MSI-based installer from scratch (no use of InstallSheild, etc), DirectX, and COM marshalling.

November 2008 Edition Available for Beta Testing

The November 2008 Edition of SSP is now in beta testing and is available to current subscribers.
This edition of SSP includes the following enhancements:
Added support for Random Transitions.
Improved process to import a block of scripture text.
Added Global Gaussian Blur for improving the appearance of text and shapes for large displayes.
Added support for identifying transparent areas in slide shows.
Completed initial work for DeckLink support (sold separately).

The first iteration of the new SSP SDK is now available! This tool provides developers with a way to build SSP plug-ins. This version (version 9/5/2008) specifically provides the capability to build static and dynamic fills which can be used as motion backgrounds. There is also a new SSP SDK support forum which also contains more information about this release.

Come Together Youth Conference

Capital Christian Center of Meridian, Idaho is producing the Come Together Youth Conference on September 11-13 featuring the group Leeland and the local group The Waiting Kind. Also featured is Sabra and Kameron from "So You Think You Can Dance."
SSP will be used at this event for a number of uses including live CG, worship support graphics, scenery and backdrops, prompting, scripture and sermon support, countdown timers, announcements, and of course song lyrics.
