RE: Last line not centering correctly by osborn4 in User Support - V7

I wonder about that originally. But, this is also happening at the end of a song part where there is no ¶.

I'd like to know why resetting (and then restoring) the formatting changes the centering behavior. But I think it will be one of those mysteries. I still haven't tried the resetting/restoring display properties on the projection machine yet.

RE: Video transitions not working as desired by George in User Support - V7

Scott,
Welcome to SongShow Plus and SSPlash.

To answer your question - No videos do not always have to fade from black but it can depend on what Display Properties you have set.  There are a few ways to set these so I won't go into them all here but if you have the video trainings available you can use those for examples of setting display properties.

My first suggestion would be to save whatever global display properties you may have set (so you can return to that setup) and apply the global Factory - Default setting and try this again.
Also make sure you don't have any settings in the program itself as these can override the globals.

If you have the time the quickest route might be to call the support team so they can walk you through it.  It makes it a lot easier to figure out what is going on if they can see what you are doing and they are happy to help.

Some dialog windows disappear or are hidden (TS189) by George in Troubleshooting

Symptom:
User finds that some SongShow Plus dialog windows such as Display Properties and various import/builder dialogs will hide behind the main SSP/SSB control windows.

Possible Cause:
This is known and expected behavior.
In both SSP and SSB, the non-modal child windows are not required to hold the focus and there can be more than one open at a time.  For example, the user can have a Display Properties window and a Song Edit window open at the same time and both can be behind the main Control Panel.

Possible Solution:
There are icons at the bottom of the SSP and SSB control panels that allow the user to see any open dialog windows and allow the user to bring them back to the front by clicking the associated icon.  Please see KB SSP082 for additional details.

RE: October 2010 Edition - Lost Windows Resolution (SSP082) by George in SongShow Plus Information

UPDATE:
There were a couple of minor issues encountered with the location of the icons so in the November 2011 Edition of SongShow Plus, these icons were improved and the location was changed to the bottom of the SSP control panel.  There is more space here and users are more likely to see them near the default location of the Windows Taskbar.

The function of these icons has not changed.

RE: CCLI Reporting - can the setting be persistent?? by dlmoon in User Support - V7

Roger,

This is copied from CCLI.COM......

>How do I determine if a particular song is covered by CC

The most accurate way to determine if a song is covered is to search by the copyright owner. To search by copyright owner, you first need to locate the copyright information for your song. This is usually found at the bottom of your songsheet or in the CD liner notes. The copyright notice will show the name of the copyright owner. This could be a publisher, a catalog, OR an individual songwriter. Once you’ve determined the copyright owner, you can use our search engine locatedon the Support page. Simply type in the name of the copyright owner. If it appears in our search results, your song is covered. Now we understand that there might be some cases where you need to search by song. For example you heard a song on the radio and you don’t have the copyright information. If the song appears in our search results, great, it’s covered. But remember, if you don’t locate that song in our song search, that doesn’t necessarily mean it isn’t covered. If you weren’t able to locate the copyright information or the copyright owner or song is not listed in our search results, please contact Customer Service for more information.

-Chat Live with a customer service representative

-800.234.2446 ext 2004

-support@ccli.com

If you can't find a particular song on ccli.com and you go ahead and enter the song in the SSP database then chances are that song is NOT covered by your CCLI License. Your CCLI License only coveres songs that CCLI has the copyright administration rights to. On the CCLI website there are all kinds of Q&A to help answer your questions. CCLI does not own the copyright to songs. They are simply a copyright licensing administrator. The vehicle where by the copyright owner gets paid for the copying of his/her material.

RE: Song Lyric Editing by George in User Support - V7

William,

I tried to replicate what you are describing and was not able to.  I tried editing several existing songs lyrics and did not have an issue replacing selected text in a different verse by pasting content from the clipboard.

I tried this with both keyboard and mouse.

If this behavior persists I would contact the support team so they can take a look.

There is nothing in SongShow Plus to do that but there are several tools that you can edit your videos with to change the running time.

Maybe an item for the wish list??

RE: text shadow in Photo Builder by akins in User Support - V7

But once the slide show is completed, you can do anything you want to it just like a regular slide show.

... except adding shadow to text using the "A" on the menu bar; rather you must go to properties/shadow/use shadow setting below, etc.
All in all, we have lots of ways to do many wonderful things. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.

RE: please fix song transitions via mouse click by akins in User Support - V7

I'll submit a wish list item although I'm not very hopeful that (1) it will be posted, and (2) that there are very many who would
like the option for consistent & universal transition between program items and sub-items. By the way, there is not fade transition
in presenting a series of scripture when the "*" is used to blank the text; that is, when going from the state of blanked text in
one verse to non-blanked in the next one the transition is instantaneous for some reason. However, the transition otherwise
works no matter in what order you select the verses or how they are selected.

Problem w/ Tabbed SSB (Graphic intense) by iamgap in User Support - V7

Am I the only one that has this problem with SSB? It seems like this was a problem when SSB first no longer allowed a 0.0 setting for Tab Size (0.1 is the minimum setting). Then the problem went away, or we were lucky, now it is back. The reason we want tabbed entries is so we can show the verse as the pastor is reading it. You will notice that the tabbed only has the first verse, while the w/o tabbed shows the whole slide at one time.

Here is a full screen (centered) w/o tabbed entries.

Here is a 2% margin (centered) w/o tabbed entries.

Here is a full screen (centered) w/ tabbed entries.

Here is a 2% margin (centered) w/ tabbed entries. Notice that the "d" is cut off.

Here is a full screen (left) w/ tabbed entries.

Here is a 2% margin (left) w/ tabbed entries.

It is like the word wrap is based off of screen size, instead of margin size, but only on centered or right justified (which is much worse).

Here is the SSB if someone wants to check it out, to see if I have a bad setting somewhere.

RE: PowerPoint not showing on first try. by George in User Support - V7

...everything is the same except the version of SSP. The issue is simply only when you update links in the PPT. If you don't do that PPT works great through SSP...
Can you clarify a couple of things for me...

What are the different versions of SSP? 5 vs 7 or different builds of 7?

Also, can you clarify what you are doing when "updating the links in the PPT" that is breaking it?

Thanks,
