This question is frequently asked on the forum: "What video card should I buy?"  We have decided that it would be worthwhile to provide a list of video cards for which we have rigorously tested and that SSP users should consider when making a purchasing decision . The video cards on this list will have passed specific tests and have a good track record. Specific information will be included such as  model, manufacturer, and driver date. The list will also only include video cards that are generally available for sale. If you are looking to buy a new video card, we highly recommend that you select one from recommended list.

Please note, this list is not a statement about any new minimum required hardware and it is not a recommendation that you replace your existing video card.

You should consider upgrading a video card only if you find the that SSP features you are using push the video card to its limit. You may find this to be the case if you are using a pre or early DirectX 9 technology card such as from the nVidia Geforce 5000 line, ATI 9000 line, and earlier and you are using the high-end graphics features of SSP such as 3D transitions or visualizations.

You can find the list here.

Since this list of cards is quite old, can we please get an update? Pretty please....

I really need to purchase a new computer and I don't want to spend money on a system with a graphics card that is not up to snuff.
