Hi all,

I've just spent quite a bit of time going through all of the topics submitted on this forum regarding SSP v. 7 and you guys ROCK!

Here  is a little bit about me, I've just inherited our media ministry at our church when the previous operators left without warning. I have been thrust into a position of making sure our songs and scripture passages don't miss a beat and I can run the basic media.........thank GOD!

I have a very basic question that I cannot seem to find an answer to - on v. 7 there is a blank slide. Is this slide hardcoded to display the way it appears right now or can I change that to show whatever background I want? I tried changing the background to no avail and cannot find an answer in help and thought perhaps one of the great guru's on here could help me out.

Thanks in advance and hopefully I won't wear you out with my questions.

Welcome aboard.

I've never played with the blank slide, myself.

However, searching for blank slide in the user manual turns up several interesting finds. It looks like you can set the appearance of the blank slide in the global display properties (page 95).

Hope that gets you on the right trail.

You'll find there's a ton of fun and interesting things available on SSP -- most of us haven't come close to using all of them. I use blank slide every Sunday for those times when we're waiting for something to happen. On the main menu bar, click "display properties" and then "edit display properties" and you will get a long list of things that you can set "globally" -- that means they are the default unless told otherwise by some other display properties such as a song, scripture, etc. At the bottom of that list, you will see "blank slide" which what you were asking about. Once you have selected something for it, you can show it by inserting a blank slide into the program or, on the fly, clicking the blue box with the arrow in it at the top of the program panel, or even easier, hitting the "-" key on the keypad (it is a toggle). The "*" is a "go to black" toggle. Have fun.
