Hey Guys

Recently i made a couple of slideshows on my laptop, which is running Office 2007, with lots of animations on it. The animations are all set to go after the previous one, and the first one starts automatically at the start of the slideshow. I saved it to Office 03 format, which worked fine, and then transferred it over to the church display computer. When i did this, i checked it out in Powerpoint 2003 and it worked fine.

When i tried to play it through songshow though, it didnt work properly. The first animation cued, and then it didnt work from there - it just stopped. none of the animations, bar the first one would show on the screen, which was not too good, as we were using it for the Sunday School and Kids Church call's at the time.

We are using it again this morning, but i'm running it through the actual powerpoint window, and it seems to work fine. To me, the problem would seem to be SSP running it, but im not too sure.

Has anyone ever seen this before, and, if they have, have you managed to fix it?

Many thanks,
Andrew

Yes. Go into the SSP configuration and set the Powerpoint config from SSP control to Powerpoint control.

This will make a world of difference. It does for us.

The + key will still move from slide to slide and animation to animation. It just puts Powerpoint in control, which makes the animations and transitions work better.

yeah

been thinking about that, but the thing is we have a set of people who have been using powerpoint for a long time, and wouldnt be able to come to grips with the changes in the system. thats the only reason i have been holding back from using the slideshow builder.

Osborn: about having ssp control, can it do cued animations, ie one after the other set up in songshow to display automatically?

I was talking about a powerpoint being displayed in SSP. And yes, anything you set up to advance automatically on the PPT will do so if you use PPT control in the SSP PPT module.
