Has anyone taken a look at this new product yet?

iWorship Flexx

Looks like it might work well with background improv, but then you wouldn't get any sounds.

But it says it works with SSP.

If we had automatic firing of cues (sorry, program elements), you could set them up in a predetermined order and have them just play through.

But it looks like they were meant to be used ad lib.

Wow I'd Love to try that. Thanks Joel. I'll send the link to our worship leader and see what he says. Would I be able to do it From Background Improv I could Have one Folder per song and let our band play the song or I guess I could play from the Video Panel directly. It would take some practice but would Be Great.

Thanks,

The timing could be tricky w/o having the click track fed to the band to keep them on beat. And if you're using background improv, you won't get any sound out of them.

But if you think it would work w/o that, give it a go and let us know!

Joel, you could use a video chain for pre-determined orders.

I'll betcha could. No ad libbing, but that would work great for a predetermined roadmap.

That retail price of $149.95 would be a deal killer for me.

I can see the sound track being part of a music video but am not sure how the clips work.  Is the sound track separate?  Just guessing but I think the clips are for use with a full band so all you need is video.

There are separate clips that come with different tracks. Either a split track, so you can separate out the vocals from the accompaniment, or a click track, that you feed to your drummer's monitor, so he keeps everyone on pace.

With the animated words, it's very important that the band keep pace with the video.

Definitely not something you just add Sunday morning and ask to band to play with the Video. But with practice it may work. Or just let the Band sit this one out and play the Soundtrack with the Video(s).

My understanding is that each video would have the soundtrack(in the Video File) that would match the Words that are in that Segment/Verse and if you wanted to play the Chorus three times then each time you "restarted" the Chorus Video you'd also be restarting the Soundtrack automatically. but I wonder how the transition between the different Video/Soundtrack segments would be. Would the sound go silent for a split second?

As far as the Price yes $149.95 is high for 15 Songs but it is a resource that you now can use anytime you sing one of those songs and if you use those songs twice a month for 12 months the Price per use goes way down.

I forwarded it to our worship leader and he said we Might get one to see how it works. I'll let you know when we get to test It. Now I just have to figure out if there is more than one Set or if other Iworship Tracks will be available as a "Flex Pak"

I too just sent this link to the MD.

We recently had a situation when the Praise Team musicians weren't available. The traditional service pianist showed up late to play, and she was way off on everything. It really would have been better acapella. Having a resource like this would have been great.

I have one of the DVDs on order but it hasn't arrived yet. I'll post a review of it if it seems worthwhile.

Update. There's no sound on the separate parts. But there is a soundtrack with the whole video.
