Video drivers are critical to SongShow Plus and should be kept as up to date as possible.  Anything more than 6 months old should be updated. 

Out of date video drivers can cause strange errors like missing text, strange video artifacts and alerts.  Other issues that seem to be completely unrelated such as slow performance may also be related.  Basically, if you encounter any problems at all, make sure you video drivers are up to date even if they seem totally unrelated to the issue. 

Video drivers for laptops must be downloaded from the laptop manufacturer and are frequently not updated more than once every year. 

Video drivers for desktops can be downloaded directly from www.nvidia.com or www.ati.com  We do not recommend using drivers from your card manufacturer as they are also frequently out of date.
