Because of these issues SongShow Plus version 5.5 and older versions are not compatible with hyperthreading. In these versions, hyperthreading may cause lock-ups, missing text, text not being displayed, videos crashing etc. Starting with version 7.0 SongShow Plus is compatible with hyperthreading.
To check, enter the system Bios. This is accomplished at pressing a key during the boot process. When the system is just starting up something will be displayed on the screen similar to “Press F2 to enter setup” or “Press Esc to change settings”
Press the key indicated. Once in the BIOS look for a setting labeled something like “Processor settings” or “CPU Performance” If Hyperthreading is enabled it should be disabled.
