Some NVIDIA Graphics cards have been found to have an issue resulting in random instability with video playback within SSP versions PRIOR to the April Edition Release that may cause the system to freeze (video stops and mouse/keyboard will not respond) for a brief time.

This freeze appears to occur mostly during transitions between videos and has been observed in slide shows as well as within a standard program. In our testing this has been observed with the 7xxx series cards and the 6xxx series cards with drivers later than 84.21. The 5xxx and 8xxx series cards have not been tested at this time.

This issue has been addressed with the April Edition Release and if you are using SSP versions PRIOR to the April Edition Release, a small utility is available that will resolve this issue within SSP. The utility is called nvidiaFix and can be downloaded by clicking HERE.

After download, simply launch the utility and click on "Apply". It will adjust the SSP settings to avoid the issue. Click "OK" to confirm and then "Close" to exit the utility.

If you are using the April Edition Release or later, you are encouraged to change the settings back to default with the instructions below.

To undo the changes made by the nVidia Fix utility:

If it is necessary, you can change this setting back to default by using the following steps:

• Launch SongShow Plus
• On the top toolbar, click on Tools, then on Utilities
• Press the F12 key to access the secondary menu
• Click on the "RME Troubleshooting Tools" button
• Click on the "Default Settings" button in the lower left corner
• Click "OK" to exit and close the support utilities window
• Restart SongShow Plus
