 Symptom:
After updating to the April 2008 Edition there are errors that occur in the limited user accounts when trying to launch and use the Quick Message tool. These include, but are not limited to, OLE errors, "Quick Message has encountered a problem and must close" error, an unexpected error and "Unable to write to error.log" error.

Possible Cause:
April 2008 attempts to eliminate the need for registry access however random errors appear to be cause by limited access to a certain registry key for Quick Message only.  This is being evaluated.

Possible Solution:
From an administrator account, grant Full Access rights to the user or user group for the following registry key:

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RTechnics\SongShow Plus"

A restart may be required for this to take affect.
